What can I expect from a SoTah Adventures tour?

Expect an exhilarating electric dirt bike ride on safe, wide trails offering killer views, complemented by a hike on every tour to Southern Utah’s best-kept scenic spots. Our tours are fully supported with safety gear and guides to ensure a thrilling and secure experience.

Why electric dirt bikes?

We initially explored the idea of electric mountain bikes, but quickly realized electric dirt bikes offered a more unique and accessible experience without the permit complications. These bikes aren't just about being different—they're about providing an easier and thrilling way for everyone to join the adventure. While they're not more popular than mountain bikes, their novelty and ease of use make them a standout choice for outdoor enthusiasts looking to try something new.

How do I prepare for a tour?

Required

you'll need to sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with dirt biking.

Attire

The desert can heat up quickly, but you’d be amazed how a light, long-sleeved shirt keeps you cool—thank the magic of evaporation!

Opt for long pants to shield against stray rocks.

Skip the open-toe shoes; they’re a no-go for riding.

Forgot something? Don’t worry—we’re here to help, especially since we know you're on vacation.

Just bring your sense of adventure, and we’ll handle the rest!

What is the skill level I need to be at?

Beginner: You've pedaled a bike without toppling over. It's easier than wrestling with a mountain bike, but harder than cruising on a moped while sipping a piña colada on the beach.

Active or Intermediate: Ideal for those engaged in outdoor sports that demand strong fitness and balance, such as skiing, mountain biking, or road cycling. There may be sections where you'll want to get off your bike and push it up the hill, which is why we labeled these rides as 'active'.

Advanced: Perfect for avid mountain bikers or dirt bike enthusiasts visiting the area—our tours are designed with you in mind!

Children: (coming soon!) We offer up to three child-sized bikes per tour, suitable for kids aged 7-8 and up. Once a child is around 5'3" tall, they can comfortably reach the ground on our adult-sized bikes. If your child is already riding an 80cc dirt bike, they can handle our standard eBikes.

Should your child not have the skill level to ride the dirt bike, we can arrange for them to trail your group in the SXS, provided one parent or licensed adult can drive.

Are there any safety measures in place?

All of our rides take place on broad, forgiving trails with minimal risk of severe falls. We equip you full face helmets, gloves, shin and elbow guards, and chest protection to minimize injuries from any low-speed tumbles. While a scraped knee might be part of the adventure, more serious injuries are rare. Trails are accessible to emergency personnel if needed. Additionally, we have a support vehicle and trailer ready for minor injuries or issues, and we always carry extra water for hydration.

Please ensure you have personal health insurance, as you'll need to sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with dirt biking.

Can I book a private or customized tour?

We can host up to nine guests per tour, perfect for corporate or team-building events. For added privacy, our booking system offers a 'private tour' option.
